A BIG SHOUT OUT TO MY PARENTS:

Mom & Dad, Thank you for the love & support!

PARENTS’ MESSAGE:

I had a dream last night. We were at your school, in the stands along the third base line. The dugout, as it does, is shielding the left field from view. We struggled, crowing our necks to catch a glimpse of the tall, handsome, brown eyed young man standing in the grass peering in from several feet away. With every bob and weave of my head some new obstruction.

Finally, in clear view, I see the space is vacant. No one is there. A tear forms in my eye as my heart sinks into sorrow. My mind is sent into deep reflection. This is the end of one very long and memorable journey. It has been a significant thread that held all of us together. Watching you play the game has always been one of our favorite things.

Son, I close my eyes for but a moment and suddenly a man stands where a boy once was. We wish you the strength to face challenges with confidence. You have given us so many reasons to be proud of the man you have become, but the proudest moment for us is telling others that you are our son.

As emotional as it may be to turn the page on this chapter, we are very excited about those to come.

Love, Mom & Dad
